Did you guys see this? Phil Hare sent out an email this week, right after Kennedy died. The headline was, "We Owe it to Ted Kennedy to Pass Health Care Reform." Is this guy joking? Does he really think that an elitist like Kennedy connects well with john deere employees? Rock Island Arsenal Employees? Newly fired Seaford employees?
Why can't Phil let teddy die in peace? Leave him alone. Don't put his name on a bill that has the potential to crush and ruin the entire American economy/greatness.
Furthermore, I thought that this Health Care reform bill was about the poor? About those who struggle to make the bills? I didn't know it was a legacy project.
A better headline would have been, "We Owe it to Martha K. Public to Pass Health Care Reform." Then have an email explaining how Martha lost her health care because a corporation was acting very corporationy and decided that they wanted to punish her and cancer her insurance or something.
My guess is that 1. people in the midwest have either a mostly negative to mostly neutral feeling of Ted Kennedy. and 2. that this is not going to convert anyone into supporting the health care bill.
This guy isn't taking his district seriously anyways. I mean he never has. He is still in his assumption mode of, "THIS DISTRICT IS MINE! IT BELONGS TO ME!" That is why he makes the classic hubris mistakes.
Hopefully Phil Hare is shown a little humility next year----and hopefully the people see the fact that he is USING someone's death to get his agenda passed.

Why wait till 2013?
Wednesday, August 19, 2009
So have you heard? The new health care bill with a public option is SOOOO critical, that even if it passes tomorrow it will not take effect until 2013.
Haha!
This is so funny. They cry about the morals and about how Republicans only want to deny care to poor people, but even their big government overhaul plan is going to deny care for another 4 years!
The Unduly Selected Seamstress knows that this plan will not work, and at best do no good. That is why he supports it going into effect AFTER the 2012 elections.
It's time to put some money in the pot Phil. Put a little bit of risk on your part. That way we will know that you are serious.

"If you believe that I am being dishonest, then there's an election for that"
Look at this bumbling idiot. Is his goal to make sure that the Schilling campaign has some material for their ads next year?

Phil Hare endorses Bobby Schilling?
Tuesday, August 18, 2009
At a town hall event that I was at yesterday, Phil Hare apparently endorsed his opponent Bobby Schilling. Okay maybe it wasn't a complete 100% endorsement, but it was pretty close.
Rather than trying to explain his position to those who disagreed with him, Phil Hare told them that if they didn't agree with him on health care then they should vote for his opponent.
Phil Hare directly said, "I do support the public option. And if there are people here who disagree with that, then I have an opponent this election that you can vote for."
The Jerkiness. The Arrogance. The downright Hubris.
What is this guy's problem?
If it wasn't enough to unelect this guy because of his horrible leadership, it is now enough because of his horrible arrogance.
The 17th has a horrible problem

Phil Hare is avoiding town halls
Tuesday, August 11, 2009
Phil Hare was scheduled to have a town hall on August 17th, but then he watched these videos...
Nope not any more. Not if he constituents are gonna be mad at him for supporting something they don't agree with. No way José!
He will only hold townhalls that are popular with his constituents.
Call Phil Hare's office and tell him to be a man.
Moline Office:(309) 793-5760
Galesburg Office: (309) 342-4411
Washington Office: (202) 225-5905

When it comes to health care, more are afraid of Big Brother
Monday, August 10, 2009
According to a new Gallup Poll 51% of Americans are more afraid of the Government than Insurance companies. Probably because Insurance companies don't send their agencies(EPA, IRS, FDA, ETC) after people to ruin their businesses or lives.

The tide starting to turn?
Check out the comments on the QCOnline article about Seaford closing.
"Another case of "the Hare Curse". Everything he gets involved with seems to go rotten or cost the taxpayers more than it should.
"I can't for the life of me figure out how Hare got elected. Talk about a do nothing Rep. His only claim to fame as a house member is to get a Post Office renamed. Other than that, he is a Pelosi cronie. He does what he is told by the dem leadership. And as we all can see, the Dems only want to spend as much money as they can in one year. If the Dems stay in power for another three years, America will be so far in debt, that the only way out will be to default on every loan the Govt has. The world economy will crash, and billions of people will be unemployed.
"THIS CONGRESSMAN IS NOT VERY INTELLIGENT."-M10
"Can anybody out there show me one time that Phil Hare has been succesful? This guy has failed at everything he's done, yet I'm sure that he'll be re-elected by the lemmings that follow their union instructions. Too bad for the folks that lost their jobs and the folks that will lose their jobs following and endorsing this waste of space."-capn crunch
